Run for Ascend Scholarship Fund

This year, Ascend Performing Arts is excited to announce it is one of the 170 Charity Partners for the 10th annual Colfax Marathon, to be held in Denver on the weekend of May 15th-17th. This marathon was recognized by Runner's World magazine as one of the top-10 marathons in the nation, and consists of three days, five races, and one of the biggest Charity Partner Programs in the country. In 2014, the marathon drew about 17,000 runners, which meant a lot of attention for Denver and some great exposure for Ascend Performing Arts.

Health and fitness for members are the goals of Ascend Performing Arts programs. Therefore we are encouraging members in our programs, the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Drum Corps and Blue Knights World Percussion Ensemble, to participate. The Colfax Marathon is a good opportunity to build endurance for these members who will be competing in the 26.2 mile marathon relay on Sunday, May 17th. However, to assist members who can't afford the entry fee ($39) for this marathon, we are establishing a scholarship fund.

Your donation of any amount will be tax- deductible to the full extent of the law and you will be "Running for Ascend" by proxy!
