Although running 6.1 miles will be a personal challenge for me, I know it is very small compared to the difficulties faced by grieving children and families.
The death of a parent ,sibling or other important person during childhood can significantly disrupt healthy development. One in twenty children will experience the death of a parent or sibling before the age of eighteen, making this a critical public health issue.
I'm running the final leg of the Colfax Marathon relay to support Judi's House, an organization in Metro Denver devoted solely to supporting grieving children and their families. Judi's House relies entirely on private contributions, so please help me raise awareness and support by contributing to my campaign! Thank you!
