I'm hoping to raise $2000 toward insuring Ignite has a home it can grow with.

$2,000 goal

I started adaptive ski teaching with Ignite four years ago, and each winter since then, my best days on the hill are the days I'm at Ignite. I mostly work with veterans that have lost limbs, have permanent injuries or are dealing with PTSD. Mostly they like to go fast downhill on a ski bike. Only one of them has lost a leg in the process. But don't worry it was a prosthetic and we got it screwed back on pretty quickly. It's inspiring to me that disabilities don't hold these vets back. And the joy they get from riding down the mountain again and again gives me great joy.

Ignite Adaptive Sports has grown, and we can only manage our "temporary" current space for another couple of years. Will you help us build Ignite a permanent home? If a child with impaired vision has the courage to ski, a soldier with a brain injury finds the resilience to ski bike, or a mom with multiple sclerosis musters the determination to bi-ski, we can find a way to build them the school they deserve.

I am part of a grassroots effort to raise $150,000 of the funds needed. With our host mountain, Eldora, we are "moving mountains" to make sure this goal becomes a reality.

The new building will provide:

A larger, safer space for our students and the adaptive equipment they need.
A less crowded and hectic environment for those with cognitive impairments.
Direct lift access by way of a bridge to the lift line.

Program stability and commitment to the disabled community.
1,500 or more lessons each season.

With this building, no student will be turned away due to space constraints. Your donation can make a difference. Please donate today!

"The Ignite program is absolutely enhancing the lives of its fortunate participants, making what once may have seemed impossible, possible." Susan Roussos, mother of Ignite student with cerebral palsy.
