Our mission: EVCA is committed to ending violence for all victims of crime and trauma, including domestic violence and sexual assault survivors. We promote empowerment and healing through crisis counseling, referrals, community education, and safe housing.
Who we serve: We serve all members of the Estes Valley Community (residents, workers, and tourists). We strive to be a safe, accepting, and welcoming space.
Why we serve: We believe everyone deserves to be treated with fairness, dignity, and respect, without judgment. Our advocates walk alongside survivors with gentle, steady support during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Our FREE AND CONFIDENTIAL programs
24/7 Crisis Line: If you or someone you know has experienced a crime, traumatic event, or abuse, you are not alone. Our highly trained Crisis Advocates are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide immediate, confidential, and compassionate support.
Crisis Advocacy: Our staff and dedicated volunteers are trained to support survivors of crime and trauma with care and respect. Advocates help by:
Explaining victims’ rights and available compensation
Providing person‑centered emotional support
Connecting survivors with resources through criminal justice partners and social service agencies
Creating personalized safety plans
Securing safe shelter when needed
Crisis Counseling: Following a trauma-informed, person-centered model of care, we provide support, structure, information, and safety planning for individuals to clarify their situation and develop their own solutions. We can provide referrals to mental health counseling.
Safe House: My Sister’s Place is a confidential, three‑bedroom domestic violence safe house dedicated to providing safety, stability, and non‑violent living. We provide a refuge for ALL individuals fleeing domestic violence and their children.
Community Education & Outreach: Supporting survivors is only part of our mission—we are equally committed to preventing violence and trauma in our community. EVCA provides:
Weekly Women’s Support Groups
Community presentations and trainings
Partnerships with the Estes Park School District, Eagle Rock School, Estes Park Police Department, Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, and local social service agencies
