Testimonials

"To access real learning, students first need to feel calm, grounded, and ready to focus. Having tools to help them regulate and feel safe is so important to making school a comfortable space for them. These aren’t just fidgets. They’re curriculum and tools that help kids re-regulate, stay focused, and feel supported in the classroom. I’m so thankful to have these resources to help our students - Yuri Kashima-Ellingson, Ph.D., NCSP, School Psychologist, Laredo Middle School

"I can't thank you enough. I've had all these ideas, but the funding wasn't necessarily there. With that grant I was able to get everything I needed. It created more access for all kids to access mental health." - Jamal Jackson, Pine Ridge Elementary Social Worker

"I’ve had the privilege of facilitating Arte Cura classes over the past two years, and the transformation I’ve witnessed among the students has been incredible. We’ve built a consistent group of participants who have not only gained trust in us as facilitators but also in each other. This foundation of trust has created a safe space for students to share their personal stories and engage in meaningful conversations." - Arte Cura class facilitator, 2024

"When the community donates to the Cherry Creek Schools Foundation, they are providing opportunities for our students to succeed by offering grants and funding to teachers and schools to support in areas of literacy, internet access, special projects, hands-on resources, and more. Cherry Creek Schools Foundation is an integral partner for our school & community engagement!" - Sybil Booker, Assistant Principal at Overland High School

"The foundation serves to not only strengthen our schools but to also strengthen our community. I give to the foundation because I want to support the needs of all kids and create opportunities for our teachers to innovate in the classroom and to reimagine the learning journey for their students." - Valencia Culbreath,  CCSD Parent & CCSF Board Chair

Background Statement

The Cherry Creek Schools Foundation, founded in 1993 as a 501c (3) Non-Profit, connects our community to the Cherry Creek School District by identifying resources and partnerships that result in IMPACT through INNOVATIVE programs and meaningful educational OPPORTUNITIES for all students and educators. Since its inception, CCSF has awarded over 1,000 Educator Initiative Grants that fund the work of classroom teachers who ensure that all of our students are prepared for an ever-changing world. The Foundation has raised more than $14 million for groundbreaking educational programs that have touched all of our schools and students. From elementary school literacy programs, to middle school engineering programs, to high school ethics programs, the Foundation financially backs ideas that get results across all curriculums and grade levels.

The Foundation relies on you and continues to build long-term relationships with you as business leaders and individuals who know that investing in our students is important for our future. CCSF's funding affects all students within the district by supporting the growth and diversity of our community and embracing students' broad range of multicultural and socio-economic needs.
