Mountain Family Center's food pantries serve Grand and Jackson Counties between 4 locations (Kremmling, Granby, Fraser, and Walden).
In 2020, MFC served over 3,600 people counting over 11,000 food pantry visits and distributing close to 25,000 children's food totes.
Since the Pandemic and two Colorado wildfires burning in Grand County (Williams Fork and East Troublesome Fire), MFC has seen unprecedented growth as it pertains to food security and nutritional programming.
MFC is also a SNAP (food stamp) enrollment site and distributes The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TFAP) and our Commodities For Seniors (+60) Food Program (CS).
MFC proudly purchased a mobile food pantry in July 2020 to meet the growing needs surrounding food insecurity and accessibility to its pantries because of limited or lack of public transportation. MFC also has expanded virtual programming to include Cooking Matters for families and Coordinated Approach to Child Health (CATCH) After-school with West Grand School District. In addition, MFC assists quarantined households with groceries and provides services to senior citizens to help keep them safer at home with grocery and pharmacy deliveries.
