Mental Health Colorado

A nonprofit organization

Mission

Mental Health Colorado is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization working to pass laws, change practices, and build a movement—to promote healthier minds across the lifespan for all Coloradans.

Background Statement

Since 1953, Mental Health Colorado has been working with consumers of health care to ensure their voices are heard. Our primary method of effecting change is at the Capitol building, where we have won national recognition for our groundbreaking legislative work.

In addition to our work in legislative advocacy, Mental Health Colorado engages in consistent and timely communications work addressing the ever-changing mental health landscape. We are actively involved in our K-12 school communities with our school mental health toolkit. We host a transitional housing program called SAFER for individuals in Arapahoe county, our Envision:You program supports the health and well-being of Colorado's LGBTQ+ population, and we regularly convene partners, allies, and members of the community in our search for better outcomes for those affected by mental health.
