To meet the needs of newly arriving Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) recipients from Afghanistan - people who are affiliated with U.S. missions and thus need protection - the IRC in Denver is raising funds that will go towards securing housing, purchasing household items and food, transportation, medical needs, and meeting the other basic needs of our new Afghan neighbors and other new arrivals at this time. Whether your donation is $10 or $10,000, you will make an impact and help these individuals and families rebuild their lives in Colorado.
The humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan is putting the lives of millions of people at risk. As the dangerous situation unfolds, the U.S. has been relocating SIV applicants to Virginia for processing before being resettled in communities across the country - like here in Colorado.
Resettlement agencies like the IRC in Denver are committed to serving these newcomers and ensuring they have access to safe housing, medical care, mental health services, case management, and other vital services as they rebuild their lives in our community.
We need your generosity to support our newest neighbors. Please donate today! No gift is too small to make an impact.
