Testimonials
I have been with the Horse Protection league for 10 plus years. I have never owned my own horse but I have always wanted one. HPL gives me my horse fix.
I continue to stay with HPL because I love the horses and the people that I have met are amazing, We are all there for the same reason and that is to keep the horses happy , give them a good home until we can hopefully find them a permanent home if not we will love them forever.

Does it seem strange to look forward to going to The Horse Protection League each Wednesday to muck pens-especially after already cleaning stalls for your own horses? No! And if you have spent any time at HPL, you understand why. It is not just being around, and helping care for these beautiful horses, some of whom having suffered such abuse at the hands of humans, but who are still able to greet you with a nicker and ask for a rub. It is also the community of volunteers that show up on Wednesdays and Saturdays, rain or heat, bitter cold or snow. Whether you spend an hour or five hours, you leave the ranch feeling good-not just about the work you have accomplished, but because of the friendship and truly positive feel of HPL.

I have been a volunteer at HPL for almost 10 years now. I just happened to see a Horse Protection League flyer and booth at National Western Stock Show. I went there on a Saturday and never left. Very rewarding for myself and many others. I love all the horses out there and have learned many things in life from them.
Thanks a lot - have gained a inner peace for being out at the ranch.
