Our mission is to educate the community in sustainable agricultural practices by producing food year-round using local renewable energy.
GGP is a botanic park in downtown Pagosa Springs along the San Juan River Walk. GGP operates 3 greenhouses - the Education Dome, the Community Garden Dome, and the Innovation (aquaponic) Dome. GGP maintains an outdoor Amphitheater for community use, an ornamental Xeric Rotary Garden, and an Audubon Native Plants Garden. Our educational site is heated with geothermal energy and powered by solar energy. GGP partners with many organizations to teach environmental education, demonstrate water conservation, grow vegetables sustainably year-round, and use renewable energy.
