Junior Achievement-Rocky Mountain, Inc.

A nonprofit organization

Every child can succeed in the business of life with the right tools. But not all kids today are receiving the tools they need for tomorrow. At Junior Achievement we believe in "possible." Each day, we work to help young people discover what's possible in their lives. We do this by helping them connect what they learn in school with life outside the classroom. We let them know it's possible to invest in their future, to gain a better understanding of how the world works, and to pursue their dreams. We show them that it's possible for tomorrow to be a better day. Junior Achievement students, when compared to the general public, go on to have higher levels of educational attainment, career satisfaction, financial capability, entrepreneurial activity, and household income. At the same time, a considerable portion of JA Alumni credit Junior Achievement for promoting their understanding of business, influencing their career goals, fostering a sense of self-belief, and enhancing their understanding of how money works.

Mission

Inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.

Background Statement

Junior Achievement-Rocky Mountain (JA) is education for what’s next. As a strategic partner working in collaboration with educators, employers, investors, leaders, and the communities they serve, we are dedicated to helping students achieve academically today and economically tomorrow. By delivering career-connected learning through experiential programs, we are invested in accelerating economic mobility through education. By helping students become confident, capable, and connected today, we can ensure they have access to opportunity-filled futures tomorrow.

In 2025/26, JA-Rocky Mountain will reach more than 100,000 students in Colorado and Wyoming at no cost to schools and students, thanks to generous financial support from individuals, foundations, and businesses.

In November 2025, JA-Rocky Mountain merged with JA of Southern Colorado to form a statewide organization, a bold step forward that will elevate program quality and reach, while achieving economies of scale. This consolidation strengthens our ability to support Colorado school districts in meeting statewide goals around ICAP, career-connected learning, and financial literacy.
