Saving Lives, Four Paws at a Time

This year alone, we have:

  • Rescued nearly 1,000 animals from shelters and the streets
  • Provided medical treatment for hundreds of cases, from routine spay/neuters to complex surgeries and even life-saving care
  • Matched countless animals with forever families, bringing joy to homes across our Colorado communities

A Tale of Survival and Hope

Jubilee, a beautiful English Bulldog who came to us after wandering the streets, pregnant and in desperate need of care. She had endured unimaginable hardship, and it was clear upon arrival that she needed immediate medical attention. Jubilee underwent an emergency c-section to save not only her life but also to safely deliver her 8 puppies. While she took time to heal, our dedicated team bottle-fed her puppies around the clock, giving them the best possible start to life and Jubilee a chance at a new beginning.

Sadly, Jubilee’s story isn’t an isolated case. This year alone, we’ve taken in numerous animals facing similar life-threatening situations. From unexpected pregnancies to critical medical cases, our facility is constantly stepping up to provide life-saving interventions. Every one of these animals deserves a chance to escape the streets and find a loving home where they can truly thrive.

This is precisely why we’re so dedicated to spaying and neutering 100% of the animals that come through our doors. It’s not just about saving lives in the immediate—it’s about preventing the cycle of homelessness from continuing.

By ensuring each pet is spayed or neutered before adoption, we’re helping to reduce the number of future homeless animals and giving each one a real opportunity for a safe, healthy life.

Jubilee’s journey is just one of many we’ve seen this year. Behind every rescue lies a story of resilience, courage, and hope—a story made possible by supporters like you. With your help, we can continue saying "yes" to animals like Jubilee, giving them urgent care, love, and the second chance they deserve.

Your Donation Truly Makes an Impact

Every dollar you donate directly impacts an animal in need. From critical medical care to daily food and shelter, your support goes beyond temporary fixes; it provides hope, health, and happiness to animals waiting for a second chance.

Just $5 can help feed a pet for a day at our facility, and larger donations allow us to fund essential surgeries, care, and transportation.

Boarding With a Purpose

In addition to donations, we offer boarding services that help fund our rescue efforts. Coloradans can board their pets with us, cared for by the same dedicated, compassionate team that looks after our rescues. Every boarding fee goes directly back into our operations, covering essential medical, animal care, and operational costs. It’s a way to get the service you need while giving back to animals in need.

Our Current Challenges: Why We Need Your Support More Than Ever

Animal rescue work comes with its share of challenges. Rising costs for daily pet essentials, increased medical needs, and a greater influx of animals have placed a strain on our resources. Veterinary and medical expenses have surged over the last year, with costs now averaging $180 per spay/neuter.

This year we're projecting an annual cost of $140,000+ in medical expenses alone. Without your help, we simply can't sustain the level of care these animals so desperately deserve.

Every dollar you give helps us continue our mission of saving lives and goes directly toward the animals.

What This Means for You, Colorado

At 4P4L, our mission is deeply rooted in serving the communities of Colorado. Colorado is a state known for its love of animals, and thanks to this, there aren’t many homeless pets on our streets. But with the support of compassionate Coloradans, we’re able to extend that love even further—rescuing animals both from within Colorado and from states where overcrowded shelters and high euthanasia rates are all too common.

Every animal we rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome not only finds a safe haven but also brings joy to Colorado families and strengthens our community bonds. By donating on Colorado Gives Day, you’re not only joining a powerful statewide movement but also investing in the welfare and safety of animals who, with your help, find their forever homes right here in Colorado.

Together, we can continue making Colorado a place where every animal, regardless of their origins, has the chance to thrive in a loving home.

For Those Who Don't Know Us

We began as four passionate women with a mission close to our hearts: saving animals in need. From those humble beginnings, 4 Paws 4 Life Rescue has grown into a community dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming countless animals (well over 15,000 at this point!) With each step forward, we’re expanding our impact and reaching more animals and families than ever before - and we couldn't do it without you.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
