The 504 Project is a unique and distinctive 501(c)(3) organization which focuses on the educational needs of all exceptional students (pre) Kindergarten through transition in Colorado. Exceptional students include those on an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), a 504 Plan, who are twice exceptional (2E), need accommodations, and those students who are in the process of seeking an evaluation to determine needed educational supports.
Our mission is to break barriers and to challenge and change policies and practices which limit or deny services or infringe upon students’ rights to a free and appropriate education. In doing so, our vision is that all students have individualized plans, and all services are administered to fidelity in a safe and nurturing environment. Further, those plans should be reviewed frequently and adjusted when and as needed to ensure we are building the best future possible for our students!
