Access Fund is the national advocacy organization that leads and inspires the climbing community toward sustainable access and conservation of the climbing environment. Founded in 1991, Access Fund is the community for all climbers nationwide. Six core programs support the mission on national and local levels: climbing policy and advocacy, stewardship and conservation, local support and mobilization, land acquisition and protection, risk management and landowner support, and education. Background Statement
We believe all climbers have an important role to play in stewardship, conservation, and advocacy. We foster and support a community where all people feel respected, welcomed, and able to fully engage in climbing and outdoor recreation. We believe that diversity of experiences, opinions, and ideas spur innovation and strengthen our community. We honor the Indigenous people who have cared for the land since time immemorial, and we are grateful for the opportunity to enjoy those places.
