The United States is facing a crisis in mental health. It affects children, young people, and adults alike. AllHealth Network (AHN) is making a difference every day in addressing this crisis. AHN can’t solve all the problems, but we can, and we are making dramatic strides in community-based treatment, coordinated systems, and access.
AHN is a nonprofit mental health organization providing counseling, psychiatry, crisis services, substance use treatment, and more.
Additional funding sources are essential to provide the facilities, programs, and services our clients need and deserve. The US is underinvested in community mental health. AHN has formed the AllHealth Foundation (AHF) to meet that need. The Foundation has developed an aggressive agenda to ensure that AHN and its clients can benefit from philanthropy.
The Foundation is inviting the community to support the essential work of AHN. It is asking the community to invest in AHN's life-saving programs and services; AHF offers a powerful opportunity to invest in a collaborative process that creates a truly effective mental health care and substance use approach that is a model for the nation.
The Foundation is asking foundations, corporations, major donors, and the community at large to participate in this essential undertaking.
Testimonials
I would like to share with you my story so you're able to understand how much of an impact your support of AllHealth Network made not only on me, but on my family:
"I want to die and there's no way I'm going to tell you that because you're not going to stop me."
That was the attitude I had when I walked into my therapist's office three years ago. It felt like I'd been addicted to something my entire life. Somewhere between doctors' appointments, cheerleading practice, school fundraisers, owning a business, three kids and a husband I became overwhelmed. I lost myself and my identity…I lost me.
My first attempts at therapy weren't successful and I turned to drug use to help me cope. It didn't take long for me to lose everything, including my children. I felt I was a lost cause as I spent two years using meth and battling the emotions I was hiding with drugs.
One day, I told myself I was done using meth and I stopped, but my addiction and drug use had caused so much damage to my family…it was like starting over again. I struggled to rebuild relationships, lived through significant health issues and finally realized: I can't do this on my own. A friend of mine referred me to AllHealth Network and something amazing happened: I made a special connection with my therapist and my life began to change.
For several years I worked with my treatment staff to make changes I didn't know were possible. I was in individual and group therapy, I moved from a friend's couch into a transitional housing facility, I regained custody of my children, I restored my relationship with my mother. All of these things happened because I worked hard and the staff at AllHealth Network believed in me.
I've learned so much about myself through this journey. I used to think of myself as a scared little girl but I know now I'm the strongest person I know. I'm kind. I'm courageous. I'm independent. And I love my life.
Please consider making a gift today. Your support of AllHealth Network will help to change more lives like mine. You will help to support early intervention programs, important case management services, suicide prevention, and give members of our community the chance to achieve the wellness they deserve-just like I did.
Thank you for helping to provide me the life my family and I treasure; I am so grateful for the help AllHealth Network provided me.
