$50,000 Goal

Our goal is to support people in crisis so that they can maintain ownership of their animal companions.

Before accepting support, individuals experiencing homelessness often put the needs of their pets first, due to the strong bond and emotional support the animals provide. This means that to provide support for those in need in the community, we must consider animal care in conjunction with homeless services.

Annie & Millie's Place is currently providing that care through partnerships with existing agencies in our community, volunteer support and direct engagement with people experiencing homelessness with their animal companions.

Our programs include veterinary care support, coordination of animal foster placement, pet food and supply distribution and emergency weather sheltering. Through engagement with individuals in need and providing these services, we are taking the necessary steps to build trust. Working with partnering organizations, we are establishing a network of resources. These are the stepping stones to creating Co-Shelter spaces, where people and animals experiencing homelessness can receive safe, secure overnight shelter - TOGETHER.

Mission

Our mission is to keep humans experiencing homelessness together with their fur family by evolving pet-friendly solutions, programs and resources.
