Colorado Film Society

A nonprofit organization

Your donation helps us bring culture, great film and outreach programs to the community, including support for our Call2Action, and youth and senior outreach programs. New summer dates give us the chance to present BIFF in a safe way, while adding outdoor spaces for programs, events and screenings

Mission

The mission of the Colorado Film Society (CFS) is to encourage and celebrate the art of film by creating a dynamic forum for artistic, social and cultural awareness in the community.

Background Statement

Filmmakers Kathy and Robin Beeck founded the Colorado Film Society (CFS) in 2004 and united organizations and volunteers who share the common goals of the CFS. With a 2-person staff and a team of 140 volunteers, the CFS launched the successful Boulder International Film Festival (BIFF) in 2005, implemented a popular year-round educational outreach program and developed a community resource program partnering with many nonprofits. BIFF 2023 involved a team of over 500 volunteers, received hundreds of thousands in in-kind support, and had over 20,000 attendances. The CFS is the only organization of its kind serving the community in Boulder County.
