Your Community Reproductive & Sexual Health Clinic
What We Do
We provide accessible and equitable reproductive and sexual health care, counseling, and information for people of all gender identities.
Who We Do It For
We provide reproductive and sexual health care services to everyone, including all ages, genders, sexual orientations, physical attributes, immigration, or insurance status. The majority (60%) of the patients who receive our clinical services are under the age of 25. For young people under the age of 18, we offer confidential and low or no cost birth control and STI testing. For all patients, we offer low cost/sliding scale services when insurance coverage is not possible.
Why We Do It
We believe that reproductive and sexual health is an essential aspect of medical care. We believe that high-quality, affordable, and compassionate health care is a human right.
"Hands down best gynecology office I've ever been to! I felt so seen, heard, validated, valued, included, and welcomed! Though women in this office are truly angels on Earth, I have never felt this secure in a doctor's office in my entire life. I highly recommend them, you're in the best hands by coming to this office"

"I have never felt so listened to and cared for at a doctors office before coming here. I’ve been to multiple doctors for my issues throughout my life and today was the first time I actually received any real help. The receptionist, assistant, and doctor were all amazing. I also felt extremely safe here. Overall an amazing place."

"Amy, Omarah, and Dr. Marcus were absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!!!! This is the best experience I’ve ever had in an hospital or a clinic. I definitely recommend! Everyone is extremely attentive and patient about everything"

IT ALL STARTED IN 1973
In 1973, a group of local Boulder Valley citizens founded the non-profit health center Boulder Valley Clinic to assure access to counseling and abortion services following the 1973 Supreme Court's Roe v Wade decision that legalized abortion nationwide. Over the following years the clinic expanded its reproductive and sexual health services and in 1987, the clinic moved to its current location on Valmont Road as the Boulder Valley Women's Health Center. Over the last decade, best practices in reproductive and sexual health care were transformed by the Reproductive Justice Movement which moves beyond the focus on women's health and rights and asserts that all people deserve to have the power and resources necessary to make health decisions about their gender, bodies, sexuality, and families for themselves and their communities. Our new name and logo, Boulder Valley Health Center, was adopted in our 50th year (2023) and reflects our commitment-as advocates, community leaders, clinical experts, and educators-to creating a nonprofit organization that is inclusive and welcoming to everyone.
