Boys & Girls Club of La Plata County, Inc

A nonprofit organization

The Boys & Girls Club of La Plata County opened its Main Ave Club doors in the fall of 2007, in response to the community's need for a safe, fun place for kids to go after school anduring the summer academic holiday. In 2022, the Club expanded its impact beyond its traditional Club site, to serve kids with afterschool programs offered at each of the 9-R School District Elementary schools and in Bayfield through its Friday Community Impact program. These expansions mean more La Plata County kids have a safe place to go with programs and activities that inspire, encourage, and celebrate their intellectual, physical, creative, social, and emotional well-being.

Donations to the Club are tax deductible. Eligible cash donations may qualify for a Colorado Child Care Contribution Tax Credit equal to 50% of the total donation
