Testimonials
“My experience working with Breck Create on the Día de Muertos festival has been one of reconnecting with the arts and learning more about Mexican and Hispanic cultures and traditions. I also had the wonderful opportunity to translate the voices of so many tireless workers of our community in the artwork descriptions of Stephanie Mercado. This whole experience made me feel part of something that is sending the message of embracing diversity, acceptance, and inclusion, and that is so important. Thank you Breck Create for everything you do to unite us as a community."
—Elsa Vasquez, Día de Muertos festival associate
“Having Building Hope as a partner at Breckenridge International Festival of Arts (BIFA) shows the commitment Breck Create has to fostering a supportive environment and that mental health is a priority in Summit County.”
—Kellyn Ender, executive director of Building Hope, BIFA’s partner on the Guided Mindfulness Hikes and Acoustic Flow yoga series
About
Breck Create is an independent nonprofit organization formed in 2014 by the Town of Breckenridge with a mission to deliver inspiring creative experiences that enrich the quality of life for residents and quality of place for visitors. As an umbrella organization that promotes arts, culture, and creative experiences, Breck Create is responsible for the successful management of a series of programs, properties and partnerships that collectively animate and populate a cultural corridor in the heart of downtown Breckenridge.
Breck Create supports and serves artists, creatives, cultural enthusiasts, visitors, and the community at large through collaboration and the presentation of high-quality performing and visual arts events, education, and community programs as well as public art initiatives. As Breck Create seeks to cultivate community, intercultural harmony, and an understanding of climate change through key initiatives, a set of values guides this work forward. These values include excellence and relevance, engagement and interactivity, diversity and inclusion, collaboration, cooperation, and communication as well as respect for the natural and cultural environment.
