When a child or adult is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, families often must relocate to access specialized medical care. In the midst of a medical crisis, finding safe, affordable housing near the hospital becomes an overwhelming burden.

Located in Aurora, Colorado—just minutes from leading regional hospitals—Brent’s Place is the only long-term, medically safe housing program in the Rocky Mountain West offering wraparound support at no cost to families. Since 1997, we’ve served as a lifeline for more than 2,000 families, providing not just a place to stay, but a place to heal.
In 2025 alone, we provided free housing and comprehensive support to 444 families from 18 states, delivering more than 22,400 days of housing, 13,500 meals, and vital services like transportation, emotional support, and community programming. Each offering is designed to relieve stress and restore hope for families during the most difficult time of their lives.

The mission of Brent's Place is to be a safe, supportive, long-term home filled with hope for families facing a life-threatening medical crisis.
Brent’s Place provides fully furnished, medically safe housing where families can stay together throughout a medical journey. Beyond a place to live, families receive free, trauma-informed support—including meals, transportation, wellness and mental health resources, caregiver support, and personalized assistance—to ease the emotional, physical, and financial challenges of a medical crisis.
Families also find a community of understanding and connection through shared experiences, activities, volunteers, and peer relationships. With no cost or length-of-stay limits, families can focus on what matters most: being together and healing.
