Testimonials

"Bridge of Hope provided me with the necessary life tools I needed in order to get back on my feet and be successful. I learned how to reconnect with my children, how to open up and trust others, I also learned how to better manage my money. For my children it afforded them the chance to grow emotionally and to feel a part of a wonderful group." -Bridge of Hope graduate

"I think that just the hope and the support has been really nice. I've never had someone there to encourage me and want to help me better myself." -Mother of 2 in Bridge of Hope

"It's been encouraging to see someone dive in with resources and to see that the kids and I have everything that we need. It means a lot." -Mother of 2 in Bridge of Hope

"When I heard about Bridge of Hope it touched my heart because I grew up with a single mom and knew what she went through. My wish is to help give single moms a leg up in the world." -Board Member

"As a volunteer, I've gained a friend! I've seen God move in the hearts of the neighbor volunteers and in the life of our mom and her kids. I've learned so much from our mom on strength, perseverance, and resourcefulness. She is an inspiration!" -Volunteer

Mission

The mission of Bridge of Hope Greater Denver is to engage Christian faith communities in ending family homelessness through neighboring relationships that demonstrate Christ's love.

Background Statement

Nearly thirty years ago, the first Bridge of Hope (BoH) began serving homeless and near homeless families in Pennsylvania. The tremendous success of the organization led numerous other communities to establish their own local BoH. In response to the growing number of homeless single-mother families in and around Denver, Bridge of Hope Greater Denver was founded in 2014 and began serving families in 2016. That first year, one family was served. The program expanded to serve three families at a time in 2017 and six families at time in 2018. In 2019, BoH began serving ten families at at time.
