Court Care insulates and protects children from traumatic testimony graphically reiterated in courtrooms every day. Without Court Care, children would attend court hearings, probation meetings, mandated drug treatment programs, or observe other matters that are simply inappropriate.

"As a victim of domestic violence, I knew things discussed in the Court Room would be confusing and frightening for my two daughters. Knowing they were safe; I was able to focus on court proceedings without concern about what they would hear or see." - Anonymous parent who was a victim of domestic violence.
A young boy came into Court Care with his mom on a cold, snowy morning wearing a thin, threadbare coat and no gloves. Greeted by the Court Care teacher, Troy slowing engaged in the activities of the morning. Toys, snacks, stories, art projects, and nurturing support warmed his body and eased his tension of entering the courthouse with his mom who was engaged in contentious, difficult custody hearing.
Court Care had recently received an in-kind donation of new coats and gloves from a local retailer. When his mom returned, Troy had a new coat, warm gloves (although a little big), a craft to work on at home and a storybook he had picked out. In tears, Troy's grateful mom hugged the Court Care staff member and quietly said, "I have no words to say more than thank you."
