Testimonials

What the Cloud City Wheelers have created is a sense of community on the trails. Everyone can get out on our local trails to enjoy themselves throughout the year. These trails and the Wheelers' efforts help recruit new locals, retain great employers, and incentivize new employers to relocate. -Dan Houtchens CCW Member since 2018

Mission

The Mission of the Cloud City Wheelers is to: Create, Enhance, Preserve, and Promote trail opportunities in Leadville and Lake County, Colorado.

Background Statement

Founded in 2007 after a group of concerned trail enthusiasts wanted better opportunities in Lake County. Since then over 25 miles have been built and 100s more maintained. During the summer of 2024 more than 730 volunteer hours were put into trails in our National Forest. 280 trees were cut including 28 on the Interlaken Trail used by firefighters in June. We maintain trails year round, we'd love to have your support.
