$7,500 Goal

The Colorado Forensic Canines (CFC) are canine search teams specializing in human remains detection and historic human remains detection. Our services are offered at no charge. Our canine search teams are available for missing person cases, criminal cases, and cold case investigations. Our goal is to recover and return a family's loved one.

In 2025, we are focusing on the safety of our teams. Safety is always a priority for Colorado Forensic Canines since our handlers and canines regularly deploy in remote wilderness areas.

Communication is of paramount importance, and to that end, we are striving to purchase up-to-date radios for our handlers and field technicians as well as buy new Garmin GPS collars for the dogs.  The collars enable us to keep track of our canines when they are on a mission and allow us to analyze coverage of the areas searched.  Our goal for this campaign is $7,500. Your contributions are welcomed and appreciated!

CFC canine teams are certified annually through external national testing organizations such as the North American Police Work Dog Association, National Network of Canine Detection Services, Search and Rescue Dogs of the United States, Tri-State K9 as well as the new CFC Standard tests which are based on NIST Standards. To meet one of our canine teams, please visit the "Meet Pete!" tab.

Mission

Our goal is to make qualified canine search teams available to families in helping find lost persons. We offer our services at no cost.
