Background Statement

The Colorado Motor Carriers Foundation was created in 2013 to help shape the future of the trucking industry. The Colorado Motor Carriers Foundation grants scholarships to individuals for the purposes of continuing their education and provides funds to organizations that: 1. promote and prepare materials for distribution on public safety as it relates to the trucking industry and its commitment to sharing the road safely with all vehicles; 2. develops leadership or mentoring programs to fortify trucking businesses and the communities they serve; 3. actively participates in presentations, workshops, seminars or similar institutional endeavors relating to industry safety initiatives at the local, state and federal levels; and 4. conducts technical studies, and provides for the publication thereof, dealing with the economic, regulatory and environmental advancements of the trucking industry.
