Mission

Colorado AeroLab designs experiential out-of-school-time learning opportunities for K12 kids, families and educators across Colorado.

At Colorado AeroLab, we want to empower young people with the courage to be excellent humans.

We believe kids thrive when they are encouraged to follow their curiosity and challenged to look beyond what they think is possible. Young people are capable of so much more than adults believe.

We believe the best learning happens in an environment of acceptable risk-taking. Kids need to feel safe to explore, experiment and discover new ideas and ways of thinking.

We believe every learner deserves the chance to design learning they love. They will pursue their interests with passion when given autonomy, mastery and purpose.

We believe this work matters. We want to create the best possible future for our kids.

Background Statement

Founded in 2017, Colorado AeroLab began as a learning center that targeted training in the aerospace industry for middle- and high school-aged young people.

We have grown since the early days and our focus has shifted to out-of-school-time programs for K12 kids, families and educators across Colorado. STEM-related programs are still at the heart of what we do and we see them as tools to teach kids the intrinsic value of mastering skills such as creativity, critical thinking and problem solving.
