Regina Caeli Hermitage

A nonprofit organization

We would like to improve the grounds and the installations of the Regina Caeli Hermitage, so to make it more welcoming and comfortable for our guests. This ongoing process include some major projects, like: repairing road; building of several prayer cabins; implementing a forest management plan, etc.

Testimonials

The Congregation of Saint John founded a priory in the Archdiocese of Denver in 2015. The brothers run [...] the Regina Caeli Hermitage in [...] Littleton; Fr. Francis of the Child Jesus is the hermitage's Steward. I am truly grateful for Fr. Francis' ministry and mission here in the Archdiocese of Denver.

Most Reverend Samuel J. Aquila, S.T.L.
Archbishop of Denver

No amount of money can repay the graces and spiritual benefits I have received from my time at the RCH. God bless you and all who work so hard to make it possible!

Rachel Guerrera

RCH has been a critical component of my spiritual life. Growing in my relationship with Christ requires silence, beauty, and prayer; all of which are very hard to find in the busyness of daily life. RCH has created the space for me to retreat and find God in the silence and beauty of the wilderness. Having the hermitage 30m away from my home in Denver has made getting a day or two of silence a possibility, even in the midst of young family life.

Mission

Our charism takes its inspiration from the figure and writings of the disciple Saint John. It is summed up in the following words: Like the apostle John, living together as friends of Christ and witnessing to his light and his love.

We are religious, anchored in the tradition of the Church, living vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. Our charism is characterized by communal prayer and fraternal charity, lived out in small priories. This religious setting is the source of the Brothers' apostolic vitality, which is expressed in many different ways according to the requests of local bishops and the Brothers' own creativity.

Our charism is lived concretely in our religious life through four essential pillars: prayer, fraternity, study and apostolic activity or mission.

The Dome House of the Regina Caeli Hermitage run by the Brothers is available for groups that desire to make a spiritual retreat outside of the two months of "desert time" reserved for the novices of the Brothers of Saint John (usually from June to August). The Regina Caeli Hermitage is a place for prayer, discernment, reflection, and rest in God; it is not a hotel, or a place for vacation or recreation.
