At the heart of the Cornerstone Foundation lies a deep-rooted passion for education. Our mission is to empower medical professionals and promote compassionate caregiving across the globe.
Our medical mission trips are a huge part of our why, offering life-changing opportunities -- not only to those we serve in third world countries -- but also to local nurses, physician assistants, and medical students. Through our scholarships, we enable these aspiring professionals to provide essential care in underserved communities. In doing so, we not only enrich their education but also cultivate a new generation of empathetic, skilled caregivers.
In addition to sharing knowledge, we also contribute valuable resources. Our team carefully packs cases filled with surgical instruments and medical supplies, ensuring we are fully prepared to make a difference during our missions. In 2024, we have ambitious plans to travel to Guatemala, Cambodia, and Uganda, performing surgeries and training local medical staff to create a lasting impact.

We exist to provide quality orthopedic care and education to underprivileged communities around the world.
We are a Colorado based and operated non-profit composed of local community members and physicians. The Cornerstone Foundation was founded in 2004 by the physicians of Cornerstone Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, P.C. as an extension of their desire to pursue excellence in orthopedics.
Ever since it was founded, the Cornerstone Foundation has striven to: provide orthopedic care to the underserved at home and abroad, educate the community on health and injury prevention, and educate medical professionals on the safest and most effective up to date practices.
Our commitments are to engage in orthopedic missions worldwide, to provide physician and community education, and to promote health and wellness to local youth.
Our physicians have dedicated themselves to providing orthopedic care to the underprivileged locally and abroad. Mission trips have offered opportunities to care for impoverished communities that lack proper medical treatment and to educate their local heath care providers.
