Your heart hurts every time you hear about a school or community shooting. You know how high the suicide rates are in Colorado and know people who have suffered from mental health challenges. You want to help fix it.
We feel the same and we know that so much can be prevented with comprehensive training and resources. We know lives can be saved and communities can avoid trauma through our work.
Our mission is to teach proper response and past lessons learned to help prevent and avoid these traumas. Helping to create more beautiful futures for our children and every person living in our community.
We know that a community centered approach is most effective, enabling everyone to take action to create the positive environment we all want to live in. We’ve served more than 200,000 people, with raving reviews after every training! We bring together the most qualified subject matter experts and ensure that safety belongs to everyone!

Guiding principles:
We believe prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery are the most important steps in achieving more favorable outcomes for school and community safety. As a result, we are committed to providing state-of-the-art training for all aspects of school and community safety.
Budget constraints should never present a barrier to receiving comprehensive instruction in best safety and security practices; therefore, we provide our programs and support free of charge or low cost to the best of our ability. To do so, we are structured as a 501(c)(3) non-profit and are reliant upon the receipt of grants and donations.
The DeAngelis Center Foundation is a non-profit designed to enhance school and community safety, ensuring the consistent application of best practices and lessons learned.
Trainings and resources are available for everyone, from law enforcement and first responders to community members. Everyone has a part in school and community safety!
