Mission

At Denver Academy of Torah, we are nurturing students to be Torah-observant role models and future leaders, through an intellectually rigorous and innovative education imbued with a love of Israel.

Background Statement

Denver Academy of Torah was founded by a determined group of parents looking to create a school focused on both Judaic and secular studies, where students could develop strong bonds to the land and State of Israel, and be nurtured to develop into upstanding moral citizens who are productive members of the Jewish community and beyond.

The school began in a small building owned by a local synagogue in 1993. The school began as a K-6 institution and eventually grew to include grades K-8.

In 1999, DAT moved into our present building located on our nine acre campus in the Lowry neighborhood. In 2010, DAT expanded its offerings with the opening of a high school.

Today, we serve 176 students in grades K-12 and are the only Modern Orthodox Jewish day school in the Denver community. Our students graduate with the skills and knowledge needed for college or a career, and the building blocks of lifelong practice in Judaism.
