Background Statement
The YMCA of Metro Denver is a vital and significant force building strong, thriving and equitable communities since 1875. We are a welcoming place for all and our programs reflect that commitment.
There has never been a greater longing for belonging. As a welcoming “third place” beyond work and home, the YMCA is where people explore their purpose, dreams, and goals; achieve health and wellness for their spirit, mind and body; connect with their community and feel a sense of belonging and possibilities like nowhere else.
* We are dedicated to the mental and physical health and well-being for all.
* As a connecting place, people of all ages and socioeconomic levels come together, inspire and learn from each other and help to develop the next generation of changemakers.
* We are a gathering place we cultivate understanding, respect and shared experiences as we seek to lift up each other and elevate the greater community.
Across our 6 wellness centers and 100+ program sites, the YMCA services 68,000 families, children and adults throughout Denver, Jefferson, Arapahoe, Adams and Douglas counties. For every $1 invested in the YMCA of Metro Denver, $3.07 is returned to the community.
