East Side Art Institute is a dynamic new art resource in the Colorado Front Range joining creativity with education, community, and regenerative land management. We are raising funds to build a fully-equipped facility for art education, research, and exhibition. People of all backgrounds, ages, and skill levels are provided a welcoming place where kindness and creativity flourish. At East Side Art Institute our goal is to bring people together and help create a healthier and more compassionate world through art.
I have worked closely with East Side Art Institutes' founders, Nancy Utterback and Kathy Griffin, over the past five years in various educational and artistic settings. I have learned a lot from Nancy and Kathy, and I really admire their generous approach to art and art education that champions accessibility and a community focus. East Side Art Institute was incorporated in March of 2016. We went under contract on 14.25 acres on Isabelle Rd in Boulder County and started through the County Land Use process to receive approval for building new facilities and to offer a variety of classes in fine arts and fine crafts. We received approval in January 2020. After the long process of becoming approved through Boulder County, we found ourselves in the middle of a global pandemic. Finally, in 2021 we were able to close on our campus property and begin our campaign to build new well-equipped studios and classrooms to bring art to everyone.
