Education Foundation of the Summit funds go directly to Summit public school programs-reading and literacy, STEAM, and teaching innovations. We also provide scholarships for high school seniors. A gift of any size can make a difference and we encourage you to participate at whatever level possible.

-Dr. Tony Byrd, Superintendent, Summit School District
The Eileen Finkel Innovative Teacher Grants are all about celebrating and supporting our teachers’ creativity. These grants give them the opportunity to try out new ideas to make their students’ learning even more enriching and engaging.
-Consuelo Redhorse, President, Summit School District Board of Education
I am so grateful for the foundation's support for the Summit High School (SHS) Outdoor Education Program. The foundation's Innovative Teacher Grants helped us build a classroom set of equipment for students for our overnight backpacking trips. These experiences help local students learn about snow science, avalanche mitigation, and risk management in backcountry settings. Our goal is to ensure that more of our students have access to safe field experiences in our local mountain environments.
