EER was founded to provide rehabilitation, re-homing & aftercare to equine athletes that no longer served their previous life & were in jeopardy of being discarded, neglected or abused. Our Goal: Taking in injured or displaced performance horses & making their come-backs bigger than their setbacks.

Testimonials

So impressed and thankful that EER exists and is doing the important work of rescue and rehab that only they can do. We brought our 5 month old here with a severed tendon a few months ago and from the moment we arrived it has been welcoming, gracious, expert, thorough, professional, warm, detailed, horse-centric. While we were not here as a rescue (rather a rehab) we saw the lives being saved and restored by the rescue. Such an experience to meet a performer off the race track who was injured and discarded and then to witness Gina & EER stepping in and literally saving & mending each horse's life. This organization is essential & worthy of recognition - especially when they give voice to the magnificent creatures who cannot do so themselves. - Silas M.

Gina is amazing! Very knowledgeable and very honest. She wants the very best for the horses and their future owners and will do her best to find a great match. We couldn't be happier with Max (aka Chance). - Heide B.

Mission

Mission Statement

Making in injured or displaced performance horses and making their come-backs bigger than their set-backs.

Elite Equine Rescue harnesses the power of volunteers to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home horses that have suffered abuse, neglect, abandonment or who have sustained an injury. We provide a safe landing for these horses and provide the supportive veterinary and rehab care necessary they need during transition.

Background Statement

Elite Equine Rescue (EER) is a 501c3 non-profit organization, located in the Black Forest of Colorado, that is dedicated to saving performance horses from an ill-fated future of neglect, abuse or ultimately being shipped to the kill buyer. We were established as a non-profit in 2018 and accept all breed of horses. EER provides a soft landing for many equine athletes who are injured and need rehabilitation. Our ultimate goal is getting them fit to enter re-training and then adopted into their forever homes. We also partner with local and university Veterinary programs, EquiTape, as well as other equine rescues to take in cases that require specialized care.

EER is an all-volunteer run organization with an arsenal of skills specific to equine rehab and therapy. EER is fortunate to have the following certified professionals supporting our efforts:

• Certified Equine Massage Therapist

• Certified Equine Kinesiology Practitioner

• Certified Laser Therapist

• Certified Equine Welfare & Management Professional

• Certified Animal Assisted Therapy

• Veterinary Technician
