Imagine that there is a blind spot smack dab in the middle of this paragraph. What if you had multiple blind spots or vision that was slowly disappearing from the outside in to create tunnel vision. The world around you is now different, missing. Ensight works with people to find that world again.

Testimonials

I can't thank Ensight enough for my Enhanced Vision magnifier. Without it and the training I would not be able to write this or do my check book. I can read most everything. Most of all, I can enjoy my great-grandchildren's pictures. May God bless one and all at Ensight."

On reading with a video magnifier also know as a CCTV:
"I feel like I have been let out of prison! I can read again!"

"When i saw how my mother was implementing her training from Ensight's team in the kitchen I felt a great deal of relief. For the first time in a long time, I felt she was handling things safely. Thank you Ensight."

Giving Activity

Mission

The mission of the Ensight Skills Center is to provide people with low vision the tools, counseling, and training that empowers independent living and productive living.

Background Statement

The Ensight Skills Center for visual rehabilitation was developed by the Fort Collins Lions Club. The founders envisioned creating a place where people with low vision would be provided with training and support to maintain an independent lifestyle. On July 7, 2001 the doors opened to the first low vision training center in Northern Colorado. Since 2001, Ensight has taken over operations of the Curtis Strong Center in Greeley in 2007 as well as opened a satellite offices Lafayette, Littleton, Lowry and Longmont, CO.

Ensight serves anyone age 6 and up who is experiencing vision loss regardless of ability to pay. As a low vision program the number of totally blind individuals served is low and related to assistive technology and orientation and mobility services.
