Imagine you have no idea where you and your children are going to sleep tonight. You spend all day stressed about where you will get your next meal from and how you are going to keep your children warm tonight. Picture these families, with nowhere to call home, facing the harsh reality of uncertainty every single day. Families experiencing homelessness grapple with the constant worry of finding shelter and putting food on the table while keeping their children safe and warm. But, with your compassion, you can be the beacon of hope in their darkest hours.

No family should be homeless in our community.

Join us in working to end family homelessness in Fort Collins, and you become the strength to those in need. Your generosity transforms their struggles into stories of resilience and strength. Your kindness provides the comfort of a warm bed, the nourishment of a hot meal, and the promise of a brighter tomorrow.

Together, we can rewrite the narratives of these families, offering them not just shelter and sustenance but also the chance to dream, aspire, and thrive. Your support is the key to unlocking a better future for them. Make a difference today because no family should be homeless in our community.

Giving Activity

Mission

We empower families to overcome homelessness.

Our efforts help families attain sustainable self-sufficiency in a timely and dignified manner by providing a full range of stabilizing services, in collaboration with a diverse set of faith communities and partner agencies.

Background Statement

Family Housing Network (FHN) has been serving families experiencing homelessness in Larimer County since 2009. Our mission is to support families on their path from crisis to stability by providing emergency shelter, case management, and housing-focused programs that lead to long-term self-sufficiency.

We are the only agency in Northern Colorado exclusively focused on families with children who are experiencing homelessness. At the heart of our work is the belief that every child deserves a safe and stable place to call home.

FHN offers a unique continuum of care—from emergency shelter to day services, case management, and housing retention support. Our programs meet families where they are, addressing not only the immediate need for shelter but also the deeper barriers that prevent long-term housing stability—such as unemployment, lack of rental history, or access to mental health resources.

We work closely with a network of faith-based congregations, community partners, and volunteers who extend compassion and support to the families we serve. Our success is measured not only in numbers but in stories of transformation—families moving from living in their cars to moving into homes, parents gaining employment, and children returning to school with renewed hope.

Since opening our doors, we’ve helped hundreds of families overcome homelessness with dignity, stability, and support—and we’re just getting started.
