We are joined by more than 53,000 community leaders, serving as volunteers in nearly 60 FBI National Citizens Academy Alumni Association Chapters across the United States, dedicated to making our neighborhoods safe, vibrant places to live, work, and recreate. Members are graduates of the FBI Citizens Academy Program.
The FBI Denver Citizens Academy Alumni Association supports community outreach priorities of the FBI.
We work hand in hand with the local FBI Field Offices to develop and deliver outreach programming tailored to their communities. Chapter meetings bring members together on a regular basis to hear presentations on topics of importance to regional safety and security. Alumni volunteer time, expertise, and material support for community service initiatives.
As volunteer ambassadors for the FBI, FBIDVRCAAA members educate communities about federal law enforcement issues, priorities, and goals; and serves to foster a greater understanding of the role of federal law enforcement in alignment with the mission and resources of the FBI. Our Chapter and members do this by:
- Providing public education programs to equip citizens with information, tools and resources to address primarily four public safety issues: Elder Fraud, Fentanyl, Sextortion and Human Trafficking.
- Hosting events and discussions that facilitate collaborative relationships among federal, state, and local law enforcement, and promote positive community and law enforcement relationships.
- Supporting FBI sponsored outreach and information programs to community citizens, teens, businesses, religious organizations, and government agencies.
- Providing support and morale-boosting initiatives and activities to FBI staff and their families, particularly in times of crisis and following significant public safety incidents.
