Focus Reentry is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit that mobilizes and trains dedicated volunteers to serve as mentors for men and women incarcerated in the Boulder County Jail before, during, and after their release and reentry into the community. With our support, clients find housing, jobs, and a new life.
Testimonials
SJ's story-
SJ was referred to Focus in early 2020. He had been in jail for a while and was getting ready to be released with no support. Like so many other people, SJ was released during the Shelter in Place Order. He went to stay with a friend and had only a backpack with clothing and a smartphone, provided by Focus.
During the pandemic SJ used the phone Focus gave him and started his own company, despite not having stable housing. He continued to work with Focus for support and in 2021 with our help, SJ was approved for housing and is now ready to move into his own apartment.
The support of Focus Reentry helped SJ make all of this happen. Prior to working with Focus, he had been in and out of jail dozens of times. Now, his company is thriving, he is moving to a new home, and he looks forward to a life free of incarceration.
