Foothills Community Choir is a non audition choir dedicated to the joy of singing in community with others.  At our core, we’re a choir of folks who love to sing.  We have widely varying levels of experience and come from many different backgrounds.  We love the magic that is created by a group of people raising their voices together in song.  Our member base has included teens and adults and we enjoy singing a variety of choral music, some acapella, some foreign language pieces, some showtunes, etc.  We aim to honor music that brings the unique perspectives of as many as possible into our community and that explores the complex and beautiful mosaic of humanity’s diverse musical heritage.

We are committed to creating and maintaining an environment where everyone feels valued, welcomed, and empowered to participate fully in our musical circle.  FCC’s goals and activities are intended to increase our individual and social impact through diversity of identity, experience, personality, thought and music.  We apply the principles of equity, inclusion, and accessibility in our pursuit of that goal.

FCC performs two concerts each year (spring and winter).  They are free and open to the public.  We have provided outreach performances with visits to assisted living and retirement homes as well as providing entertainment for the church where we rent rehearsal and performance space.  We have partnered with Trinity UMC choir in both performance and outreach. And FCC has collaborated with local musicians for performances in our concerts.

FCC relies solely on sponsorships, fundraising efforts and donations from member dues and collections at our concerts in order to pay for our director, accompanist, sheet music, and rehearsal/performance space.  We also offer scholarships to members who may not be able to afford session dues.  Anyone who wants to sing with FCC is welcome to join, regardless of the ability to pay the membership fee.
