About UNCCRI
Frank Gale Faith Not Fear (FGFNF) was founded by Kaye Firestone and inspired by the great loss of her extraordinary husband Frank Gale. During his 8-year battle with cancer, University of Northern Colorado Cancer Rehabilitation Institute's (UNCCRI) cutting-edge program was instrumental over and over again in giving them their lives back. The University of Northern Colorado graciously provides only the facility for the Institute, but ALL program costs must be raised yearly to keep the Institute open and operational. FGFNF solely exists to fully fund UNCCRI, which will restore their hope and allow cancer patients to get their lives back.
The mission of the University of Northern Colorado Cancer Rehabilitation Institute (UNCCRI) is to advance the quality of life for cancer survivors during and following treatment through prescriptive exercise rehabilitation. Improving quality of life is all they do at UNCCRI. The program reduces depression, alleviates fatigue, increases flexibility and balance, enhances muscle strength, and increases functional capacity. The Institute provides clinical cancer rehabilitation services, conducts industry leading research, and provides educational opportunities for those committed to the rehabilitative efforts of cancer survivors. UNCCRI provides exercised- based rehabilitation services to cancer survivors right here in Greeley, Weld County, and across Northern Colorado. The research performed at this facility is used to improve our understanding of exercise rehabilitation for cancer survivors around the world through peer-reviewed publications, educational programs and presentations. When cancer patients are going through treatments, getting up and brushing their teeth can be a chore. The only focus at UNCCRI is to improve the quality of life for cancer survivors by providing clinical exercise-based rehabilitation services.

The mission of Frank Gale Faith Not Fear (FGFNF) is exclusively dedicated to raising funds to sustain the University of Northern Colorado Cancer Rehabilitation Institute (UNCCRI), so every cancer patient has the opportunity to regain their quality of life.
At UNCCRI the program relies on donations and grants to keep its program up and running. If cancer has affected your world, as it has so many people, please donate to UNCCRI. 100% of funds raised stay at UNCCRI to help cancer patients in Northern Colorado.
Background Statement
When Frank started his journey at the University of Northern Colorado Cancer Rehabilitation Institute (UNCCRI) he couldn’t even do a sit-up. After going through radiation, chemo., immunotherapy and 8 surgeries, my Superman was left struggling with many side effects.
At UNCCRI, their only job is to help cancer patients regain their quality of life. Since 1996, UNCCRI has been providing individualized, prescribed, supervised exercise-based programs for cancer patients at all stages of treatment. Treatment-related side effects experienced by cancer patients can be severe. They often experience debilitating fatigue, declines in muscle mass and strength, along with a reduction in quality of life. Exercise is an essential component in the recovery from cancer and an important factor in preventing cancer recurrence.
UNCCRI relies on donations and grants to keep its program up and running. Frank Gale Faith Not Fear mission is to fund this incredible asset in our community. We have an opportunity to stabilize lives and strengthen our community at FGFNF and UNCCRI.
Although our journey ended too soon, the impact that UNCCRI had on Frank's life and still on my life, is forever. This is our story. Please join us in standing on Faith Not Fear.
