Mission

The mission of the Friends of Roxborough State Park is to protect and preserve the unique natural and cultural resources of Roxborough State Park by providing and managing financial resources and partnering with park staff and volunteers to educate the public, enhance the visitor experience, and support future strategic land acquisitions

Background Statement

Friends of Roxborough State Park was formed in 1993 with the mission of protecting the boundaries of Roxborough State Park, which was established in 1975, and opened for regular public access in 1987. Friends of Roxborough SP, one of the first Friends’ organizations associated with a Colorado State Park, was registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 1997.
