Testimonials
Grand Arts Council has enriched the quality of life in the Grand County area for many years. They have had signature events year around that have become a stable of offerings to not only the tourist, but to the local community. I am so grateful for their contribution to our community and it's creative pursuits. DiAnn Butler
The Grand Arts Gazebo series is a crowd favorite for sure! Nothing greater than spreading out a picnic on the lawn and listening to your favorite local artists!
For me as an entertainer, it is a great venue, because it switches it up from a loud bar like scene to a more family oriented intimate setting. Personally it is a gig I look forward to every year!!! Peggy Mann
The Grand Arts Council has been sponsoring the Grand Lake Holiday Fair for the past 20 years. I have been a participant during this time, as well as when the fair first started 30 years ago! My mother and I began making homemade jam for this fair. When she turned 80 years old, she handed down her duties to my daughter. We have lived in Grand Lake for 34 years and this Holiday Fair is a long tradition to our locals, as well as visitors. It encourages people to shop locally and to support local craftsmen. People return EVERY year to see what's new, as well as coming to see the "regulars"!
I became a member of our local PEO organization 15 years ago. Their primary function of PEO is to support local women by awarding scholarships and low cost loans to women needing to further their education. We started our fundraising efforts by making soup and bread mixes to sell at crafts fairs. With the money we fundraise, we have awarded well over $30,000 in scholarships! The Grand Lake Holiday Fair, sponsored by the Grand Arts Council, is extremely valuable to our PEO chapter to continue with this wonderful tradition.
Please consider the Grand Arts Council for Colorado Gives Day so that they will continue with their incredible work in our community. Thank you,
Kathy Weydert
