Grand Concerts is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the cultural environment of Grand County, Colorado by providing to all residents and visitors accessible, educational, enjoyable classical music concerts of the highest quality on a regular basis.
Grand Concerts began in 1975 when a group of creative people in Grand County decided to start a community concert series designed to bring quality musical entertainment at affordable prices. Originally, the series presented music from all genres. In 2004, Grand Concerts narrowed its focus to classical music based on interest expressed by residents and to fill a need in the community. We are the only organization bringing professional classical musicians from around the country and across the globe to Grand County. Our average concert attendance has grown from 93 in 2004 to 190 in 2019, and our visiting musicians tell us they love performing in our beautiful mountain community. Educational outreach has always been an important part of our mission through our partnerships with local schools, and in 2019 we established a musical scholarship for eligible local high school seniors.
