EXPANDING REACH, ENHANCING SUPPORT
In 2024, HeadQuarters significantly expanded its impact across all areas of service compared to the previous year. The organization provided 1,141 therapy sessions through the Mental Health Fund, more than doubling the 538 sessions funded in 2023, reaching individuals aged 4 to 78 across a wide geographic area from Aspen to Parachute.
Participation in workshops and peer support groups grew notably, with 282 individuals served in 2024, a substantial increase from the 246 attendees in 2023. These workshops focused on promoting Mental Fitness, fostering community, and equipping participants with valuable tools and resources.
Additionally, 2024 marked the establishment of the Behavioral Health Leadership Group, a coalition of local stakeholders working collaboratively to drive systemic changes in mental health services. This initiative aims to streamline access to mental health resources and address community needs more effectively.
HeadQuarters also helped 3,357 people navigate mental health resources in 2024, connecting them to the appropriate support at crucial moments, demonstrating a significant increase in reach and impact from the previous year. The expansion also included the opening of a new location in 2023, which contributed to this year’s increased accessibility and service capacity.
Overall, 2024 was a year of substantial growth and progress for HeadQuarters, with notable advancements in community engagement, service delivery, and systemic collaboration.
WHAT IS MENTAL FITNESS?
Mental Fitness is the purposeful practice of taking care of our mind. Through this, we gain the tools and skills to cope with everyday stressors, creating the resilience to thrive.
We focus on the four quarters of Mental Fitness; social, emotional, physical, financial.
ABOUT HQ
HeadQuarters works to prevent crises by engaging, educating, and empowering community members to develop skills and access tools for Mental Fitness. Our focus is on connecting people with the right support at the right time.
Quality mental health support should be available to everyone, regardless of their income. HeadQuarters provides therapy assistance through the Mental Health Fund for those who can’t afford it. We provide affordable life and health coaching, free workshops, and peer support groups. We also help people connect with the right support at the right time.
Together, we’re breaking down barriers to provide affordable, accessible mental health resources to those who need them most, fostering a healthier, more connected community.
Research shows that preventative mental health programs can reduce crises by up to 50%. However, in our community, crisis intervention receives 14 times more funding than prevention—a costly imbalance in every way. Waiting until someone is in crisis leads to much higher financial and social costs. Emergency care, hospitalization, and intensive therapy are far more resource-intensive than early prevention. Investing in prevention saves lives and is more cost-effective for our community.
As we look to the year ahead, your support will empower us to make a greater impact, expand our reach, and continue to grow our Mental Fitness preventative programming.

TESTIMONIALS
The funding that I received through HeadQuarters changed my life. I was going through a very hard time...my therapist gave me the tools I needed to overcome my past trauma and move forward to a happy and productive life. I reconnected with friends and family and gained the support and confidence in myself that I had lost. I am eternally grateful for the support!

HeadQuarters was founded in response to our valley's high suicide rate, aiming to guide individuals to the right support at the right time while removing barriers to access. Mental illness and substance abuse are among the top health concerns in our community, and HeadQuarters addresses these issues by connecting people with early-intervention tools and resources. Through diverse support methods and financial assistance, we empower individuals to build knowledge, develop resilience, and foster a sense of belonging.
