Heartbeat Denver Working Men's Shelter provides a Safe, Clean and Sober environment.

We operate 24 hours a day , 365 days a year.

Our residents must work and pay fees for a bed, locker , a storage bin and one hot meal a day.

We have a Program to assist our residents to learn the financial skills, the life skills, job search skills and how to  build a support community that will help them reach their goal of staying sober and having their own place.

Mission

Our mission is to help men transition out of homelessness into a self-sufficient, independent lifestyle as a productive citizen.

Background Statement

There has been a homeless shelter in the basement of Central Presbyterian Church continuously since 1986. It has had several names; Central Shelter, New Genesis and now HEARTBEAT DENVER WORKING MEN'S SHELTER.

We provide a Safe, Clean and Sober environment. Every resident must work and pay fees. They receive a bed, a locker, a storage bin and one hot meal a day. We also provide services and programs to help them to find jobs and prepare the men for independent living.
