Heritage High School Instrumental Music Foundation provides support to the many programs for Heritage High School. Approximately 25% of all students at Heritage participate in one or more of our performing arts programs and are able to participate without regard of ability to pay. The mission of the Heritage High School Instrumental Music Foundation is to provide financial and music education support for the Heritage High School instrumental music programs, which includes the marching band, concert bands, orchestras jazz bands, indoor percussion and winter guard. The Boosters primarily provides this support by:
1. Coordinating, organizing and running fundraising efforts and donation campaigns
2. Helping to provide for needs within the Music Department
3. Supporting students in competitions and events
4. Receiving funds, developing budgets, and managing expenses for each ensemble within the program
Heritage High School opened in the fall of 1972. The Music Community built the musical programs for the benefit of the students and community and in 1983 established the Heritage Instrumental Music Foundation. The music programs have been a vital part of the school and community. Heritage High School Marching Band competes statewide in 5A. In 2023 the band finished in 11th place. Heritage Indoor Percussion has previous been a state Champion and WGI Open Class Champion.
