$5,000 Goal

Fresh Start Center was founded in 2007 under the name High Plains Helping Hands with a name change in 2019. Our focus is to meet the basic needs of families facing hunger and poverty for families in the Eastern Plains with our physical location being between Colorado Springs and Falcon. In 2020, we were able to add Faith Community Nurses to our service offerings helping families receive support in physical and nutritional health! From our food pantry, we do our best to provide nutrient-rich, high-quality foods, and for the past four years, over 26% of all foods provided have been fresh produce.

Mission

By delivering targeted, sustainability programs that address hunger, poverty, and joblessness, we are building a model for transformative change in individuals, families, and communities.

Background Statement

We were founded out of a need to support the hungry and working poor in the Falcon/Peyton area, and have since grown to support those in the Eastern Plains.
