Funding will be used for on-going support of the Arts and our historic facility as we just celebrated our 100th year on main street in 2019. Maintenance and improvements are needed to keep our facility open & operating. Hosting the Missoula Children's Theater and live events also need financial support.
The Hippodrome has been referred to as "The Jewel of Julesburg" for what it offers to our community, to our main street, and to the arts by means of the movie theatre, art gallery, and the promotion of the performing arts through classes, concerts, and theatre productions.
Our mission is provide for the performing, visual, displaying, teaching and learning of the arts and culture, of and for, the regional community while restoring and preserving the historic Hippodrome Theatre.
The organization renovated a closed, outdated movie theater and put it back into operation. The theater is in a rural area, with the townspeople making contributions of time, labor and money. The major accomplishment is they have given the area an entertainment center and a local place to go. The Centre and annexed buildings are used for other cultural events and for public and private events. An art gallery and commercial kitchen have been added throughout the years as funding allowed.
