Mission

Mission Statement

Hitsquad Athletes is a small organization dedicated to fostering the well-being and growth of youth athletes. We believe that sports have the power to transform lives, not only by promoting physical fitness but also by nurturing mental health, positive affirmation, and a sense of belonging.

Our mission is threefold:

* Empower Youth Athletes: We provide a safe and supportive environment where young athletes can develop their skills, confidence, and leadership abilities. We strive to create opportunities for them to succeed both on and off the field.

* Promote Mental Health and Well-being: We recognize the importance of mental health for athletes of all ages. We offer resources and support to help our athletes cope with the challenges they may face, both within and outside of sports.

* Foster Positive Relationships and Conflict Resolution: We believe that conflict is a natural part of life, especially in competitive environments. We teach our athletes how to communicate effectively, resolve conflicts peacefully, and build strong relationships with their peers and coaches.

We value:

* Love and Family Support: We believe that every athlete deserves to feel loved and supported by their family and community. We strive to create a culture of inclusivity and acceptance where all athletes feel valued and respected.

* Discipline and Dedication: We instill in our athletes the importance of hard work, perseverance, and dedication. We believe that these qualities are essential for both athletic success and personal growth.

Through our programs and initiatives, we aim to empower youth athletes to reach their full potential, both as individuals and as part of a team. We believe that by investing in our youth, we can create a brighter future for our communities and the world at large.

Background Statement

There has been a tremendous response to Youth Sports Giving Day, and over $1.5 million has already been raised to support youth sports across the state. The original $1 million in matching funds has been expended, but due to the enthusiasm for supporting youth sports, the Daniels Fund has added an additional incentive fund of $500,000. This fund will be distributed on a percentage basis to ensure every gift made through September 30 continues to make an impact. Let’s keep the momentum going!

Incentive Fund

Every donation made after the original $1 million match fund was expended will be boosted by the additional $500,000 incentive fund.

How it works

All nonprofits receive a % of the fund equal to the % they raise for the Youth Sports Giving Day campaign (after the original match funds were expended). Raise 10%, get 10% of the incentive fund. The $250,000 match cap per organization still applies.

Example

For instance, if the total Youth Sports Giving Day campaign raises $3 million in donations, the additional incentive fund will be distributed based only on the $2 million raised after the original $1 million match was fully utilized. So, if Youth Nonprofit X raises $200,000 after the initial match is expended, they will receive 10% of the incentive fund at the end of the campaign. Organizations will still be capped at $250,000 in total matching funds, and donations that were already matched will not count toward their share of the incentive fund.

All match fund calculations are verified post-campaign after September 30 to ensure the most accurate disbursement of funds in mid-October to participating nonprofits.
